"I was totally in love with the natural colors this summer and I will continue on that track even in the fall and next spring. Brown and beige are awesome colors... It’s funny, because as soon as the fall is here, I start look for summer clothes. So right now, for example, I am looking for what I feel like wearing next summer. I bought all of my new fall jackets this spring. As a fashion blogger, it is smart to stay one step ahead."

Keep an Eye on: Joel Henry Contreras

I don't normally laud the work of undergraduates- but Joel Contreras creates amazing things. He has a dark- often sinister- vision- and immense talent. No website yet- but keep a look-out for him- in about 15 years he will be tearing-up the art scene.

The Photography of Ryan Mcginley

Ryan Mcginley's work is lighthearted and care-free. He works almost exclusively with nudes- lending his photographs a timeless quality (although the coloration speaks strongly of the early 70's). Somehow he manages to capture a beauty and innocence that is at once nostalgic and sweet.

I love his work- the colors the tone, the portraits, the way he captures the interior world of a person. Magical.

Perhaps he is some kind of Robert Mapplethorpe/ Andrew Wyeth/ Maxfield Parrish combo?

Mab Graves

Mab Graves is a delight. Her paintings, her imagination, her enthusiasm- fantastic. She is nurturing, generous and gracious. Stylistically she often resembles a cupcake. Mab's paintings and other creations vary from the dark and sinister to the cheery and sugar-coated. She and her husband Larry are rocking Indianapolis- artistically, stylistically, and socially. What does Mab have in the works? A collaboration with a toy company, a stage production, a new gallery. Yup, this woman can create anything.
